I grew up in the great metropolis of Old Fort. I was blessed with a great family who loved The Lord and took me to church weekly. God saved me when I was 9 years of age, yet it wasn’t until the age of 22 that I really began to grasp the love and grace of Jesus. During those in-between years my spiritual growth would fluctuate, but God always had a call to vocational ministry in my heart. I first began to sense that call at a young age and followed through with it in my early 20’s. I graduated from Appalachian State University, then Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have been on staff at Grace for nearly 10 years, in the role of student pastor.
I am married to my beautiful and amazing wife Whitney. She works at Carolinas Medical Center in Morganton. Whitney serves in the student ministry at Grace by leading a high school girls life group. We have our son Lucas, who is almost 2. We love to travel, eat great food, hangout as a family, and serve in ministry together.
I love great coffee, Duke Basketball, and all things sports. My favorite hobbies include working out, playing golf, eating sushi, hanging out with students, and going to Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack.
