God called me to himself when I was 8 years old. While I strayed for some time, that call was confirmed at the age of 17. I grew up in the church as being like a second home. My grandfather was our pastor for 27 years. I felt a call to ministry right before college which ended up playing a factor in where I attended college. While at Montreat College, I played baseball for four years and was a Bible and Religion major. God prepared the way for me to serve on staff at Grace in April of 2015 when I began leading Children’s Ministry.
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Bethany, since March 2015. Bethany is a local girl from right here in Marion, and works at the VA Hospital in Asheville. We have one son, Christian who is 2 years old. We like to do puzzles, sing songs, and play outside.
Growing up in Knoxville, TN, I am a huge fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. I also love the Braves, golf, and Disney World. I am a huge nerd and an avid reader which includes reading about theology, Star Wars novels, and biographies. My favorite hobby of all time is eating. I love sushi, fried chicken, ice cream, pizza, wings, cake, and all the foods.
