Alyson Blackwelder

I am originally from Oklahoma where I lived for 21 years.  I was saved at a young age while attending VBS in my hometown.  I moved out to NC in March of 2000.  I’ve learned many things while living here in the mountains.  I can now make cornbread from scratch, I learned that you can eat ‘slaw’ at any meal, and y’all means the same thing as ‘yoins.

I grew up military with a dad who served in the US Army for 23 years.  And I married military which makes me very patriotic.  Steve and I have been married for 20 years and we have two wonderful children, Emma and Andrew.  I am a member at Mt Calvary FWB Church of Spruce Pine, NC where I serve as one of the Youth Leaders and the Preschool Sunday School Teacher.  The Lord has led me to work on staff at Grace Community Church and I’m thrilled to be here.  Our family loves to travel and spend time together.  But most of all, I love the Lord and I love our country.
