Grace Community Church - I am of Christ (Colossians 2:8)
Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Pastor Adrian speaks out of (Romans 6:3). Here Paul likens salvation to baptism. What literally happens when someone is baptized?
Stop trying to incorporate Jesus into your old life. Ask him to give you a new one. And if you already have a new one, stop living for your old life. We must be born again to enter the kingdom of God.
In this weeks sermon, Jerry makes a statement: “It is better to want something you don’t have than have something you don’t want”.
At this particular stage in life you have freedom to offer time and resources that married people simply don’t. Instead of living life waiting.
John 21:1-19
This Sunday Jerry preaches about how Peter denied Jesus three times, and then went out and wept bitterly. He was devastated by what he had done. That wasn’t the end of his story. Jesus restored him. This sermon will focuse on Jesus’ conversation with Peter on the seashore…over breakfast. Jesus asked Peter three times if he loved him, the same number of times Peter denied him.
1 Samuel 1
This Sunday Jerry preaches from 1 Samuel about Hannah’s desire for a child and how God ultimately honored that desire. Watch the full sermon now!
Proverbs 23:12-28
This Sunday Jerry continued into the “Family Series” as he shared in his sermon that parents must focus on heart change more so than simply behavior. He also shared how kids must fear God first and listen to parents.
John 12:17-28
In the book of Joshua we see a word that he gives to the leaders of Israel before he passes on. Joshua has served God faithfully for years and led his people to do the same, but there is still some issues in the camp. The people still see God as one of their options. Following God is something that seems to be a preference or convenience, rather than a desire and conviction.
Ephesians 5:22-33
This Sunday Jerry continues in the sermon series, “The Family”. He shares two points for husbands and wives in his sermon, both of which can be difficult and both can be counter-cultural.
Genesis 37:1-11
This Sunday we will see several negative examples of what happens when a blended family goes wrong. Often we can see what should have been better when we see what didn’t go well. This passage is a prime example of that.
The first thing we will notice that went wrong was that Jacob had 4 wives. When God instituted marriage, He intended it to be one man and one woman, for life in a monogamous relationship.
