In the latter half of my time in high school, thoughts of colleges and future plans were swirling around in my head, yet I could not get over the idea that the Lord had something more planned for me. The Lord impressed upon me the desire for ministry work, but I had no concept of what that looked like practically. In my search to discern my calling to ministry, Grace came alongside me and gave me the opportunity to work on staff as a summer intern. Through the hands-on ministry experience that I gained, and the loving direction given by the Grace staff, I was able to discern my calling to ministry. The next summer, I interned again and was able to further grow the skills that the Lord has begun to develop within me. I am now continuing the work that I was able to begin as an intern at Grace as I study for a Pastoral Ministry degree and seek to be on mission for the Lord in my everyday life.

The internship at grace gave me a deeper understanding of what working in ministry or missions look like. It also plugged me into helping in Kid’s Worship, which I still do. It provided me with many opportunities and friendship and strengthened my walk with Christ.
