Grace Preschool Operations Manager

Position Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for aiding the Director in supervising the overall operations of the Center, including staffing, curriculum, and administrative responsibilities. The Operations Manager manages the Center in the Director’s absence.

Center Operations Duties:
Assist the Director in maintaining quality services for children.
Manage daily scheduling of staff and volunteers ensuring staff ratios are maintained in each class Assist the Director in appropriately handling all childcare matters related to the daily operations of the Center
Work with the Director and teachers as needed in planning appropriate classroom design and layout in accordance with ITERS/ ECERS requirements
Assist the Director in promoting different projects to ensure the program runs smoothly on a daily basis.
Arrange for substitute help in the event of absence for all Preschool Staff ensuring that substitutes are certified to serve in the capacity
Manage and maintain the Center in the Director’s absence
Assist the Director with monthly fire drills and inspections
Notify appropriate person of needed repairs and maintenance issues

Direct Care Duties:
Observe and assist regularly in the classrooms, make sure teachers have what they need at all times to complete their tasks
Cover breaks throughout the day, as needed

Perform classroom duties during the absence of a regular teacher
Assist in assuring that the classrooms are prepared each week for Sunday preschool ministry needs in the classrooms
Assist Director in organizing a Parent Orientation meeting at the beginning of each semester Any other duties that may be required to assist the Director, teachers, staff, and families of students

Staff Supervision Duties:
Assist the Director in facilitating an atmosphere or cooperation, teamwork and mutual respect Provide ongoing supervision and direction to all staff of the center
Work with other Grace Community Church staff, maintenance and janitorial staff in a cooperative manner as part of a unified team
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality regarding individual children, parents and staff in all situations.
Work closely with Director in supervision of all staff and inform the Director of any pertinent situations/concerns/joys

Administrative Duties:
Maintain communication with Inquiries, periodically update waiting list and schedule tours for Assist Director in properly maintaining and frequently auditing all staff training files and all children’s files
Complete ongoing administrative tasks that ensures an orderly flow of operation
Assist the Director with following all health and safety guidelines set forth by the State of North Carolina
Confer with the parents in the absence of the Director regarding facility activities, policies, and enrollment procedures
Answer phones and assist the Director with parent communication and emails
Attend Parent Advisory Board meetings with Director
Attend Grace Preschool Board meetings with Director

Employee Practices:
Establish professional relationships and good communication with staff members to foster a Christ-like working environment
Attend all Grace Preschool board meetings
Good management skills, including planning, directing and supervising
Attend classes, workshops, and in-house trainings as outlined in the Personnel Manual Work within NC Childcare Rules and Regulations
Perform other job duties related to the job as assigned by the Director

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Understanding and ability to implement the overall mission of Grace Preschool.
Must have strong leadership and crisis management skills
Critical thinker and problem solver with demonstrated flexibility and resourcefulness Should have a strong working knowledge of performance and operations management to optimize productivity and employee satisfaction
Broad knowledge of administration and child development center services
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent management skills, including planning, directing and supervising.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with strong attention to detail Demonstrated professionalism in communications and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Commitment to continuous professional development

Ability to access, enter, modify, and retrieve data on a personal computer Ability to read, write, and speak the English language

Operations Manager Qualifications:
Commitment to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the desire to incorporate that faith into each day of the program. Ability and desire to provide spiritual leadership to the staff.
Must be in agreement and live by Grace Community Church’s Statement of Faith
Must have a basic love for children with commitment to a high quality standard of education Must demonstrate evidence of emotional maturity and stability with the skills to make sound judgments during crisis situations
Previous managerial experience
At least 2 years of experience in Preschool or school setting
Well-versed in DCDEE State Rules and Regulations
Must have the ability to get on the floor to interact with the children.
Must have the ability to lift children.
Must be 21 years old and a high school graduate.

Grace Preschool Lead Teacher

Grace Preschool is looking for Lead Teachers. We are hiring talented and loving teachers who want to work in a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes professional development and continued education. Lead Teachers are responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate educational experience for young children in a 5-star setting. The lead teacher is responsible for creating an environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth of the participants in their assigned classes. This person is responsible for developing creative and developmentally appropriate lesson plans and implementing them in their classrooms. The lead teacher must work in cooperation with the teacher assistant and all other personnel of Grace Community Church.

Grace Preschool Assistant Teacher

Grace Community Church in Marion is looking for teacher assistants for the new preschool. The school is scheduled to open Feb. 1st. We have Lakeshore classrooms, competitive pay, incredible work environment, and more! We will be working toward 5 stars and will have low ratio classrooms.

Teacher assistants are responsible for assisting lead teachers in the classroom and providing a safe and developmentally appropriate educational experience for young children in a 5 star setting. The teacher assistant is responsible for creating an environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth of the participants in their assigned classes. She/he should serve as a team member in developing creative lesson plans and implementing them in their classrooms. The teacher assistant must work in cooperation with the lead teacher and all other personnel of Grace Community Church.
